Looking For Lunch?.
Well, why not come early and get breakfast too? This place serves delicious sandwiches, breakfast, lunch and dinner. Amel's Market is a cool corner store with all you'd expect, but unknown to the masses is the new sandwich menu. Croissant, bagel, wheat, extra sour french, or sweet roll, grilled on the panini press with your choice of turkey, ham, salami, bacon, or egg and five cheeses to choose from. Top it off with a pile of veggies, and you're in for a treat.
Priced around $5.00 this is a tasty and affordable sandwich in a neighborhood with many more expensive options. Give these folks a try. I don't think you'll be disappointed. In fact, you could be back for dinner.
Enjoy! I hope to see you there.
Best Sandwich in San Francisco. The location of the store is great, right in between Mission St and San Francisco City College. And the sandwich are to die for. The taste is amazing, the portion is just right. The mix of fresh ingredents with a grilled bund makes it perfect on the go. Special thank's to Vic for spoilling us.

Fantastic Sandwiches....
I was in my way to work last week and I stopped at Amel's Market for a cup of coffee that morning. To my surprise, I noticed a customer getting some sort of hot sandwich. The smell of the pressed sandwich made me order my own. It was a panini sandwich. They have Turkey, Salami and Ham for meats. You get a choice of Swiss, Mozarrela, Cheddar and Americano cheese. The standard toppings like tomato, lettuce, onion, and jalapeno peppers are your choice. I order my breakfast sandwich in a crossaint bread, turkey and swiss cheese, tomato, onion and hot peppers. WOW! That was no ordinary sandwich. It is not even a deli sandwich. It was much better than that. They are gourmet sandwiches. It is definately different and better than any other sandwich available anywhere in the city right now. I am not exagerating.
I like sandwiches in general. I make them at home and always like to try them whenever I go. This has by far been the best Breakfast sandwich I have had so far. Prices are around $5.00 + depending on extras. The quality, freshness and cleaningless are there. The shop scored 100% by the city health deparment certificate posted inside the store by the city.
Needless to say, I go there at least twice a week for my panini fix. The cute ladies behind the counter and shop owner (Victor) are very courteous and friendly. If you find yourself by Ocean avenue two blocks from Mission st. treat yourself to great sandwich.
This convenient store that also sells all sort of drinks, beer, wines and alcohol. There are all sort of candy bars, chips, cookies, etc. So, don't let that look decive you.
Clean, inexpensive, convenient and friendly. What else could you ask for?
There are no tables available to eat in but this is a convenient store anyways and not a restaurant. Not a big deal anyways if you are in the go like myself.
I recommend this place. A+. Try those sandwiches by yourself and let me know what you think? I know you will agree with me... ;)
