More like a big, grey barn than a grove, this pleasantly crowded, order-and-sit cafe is rife with see-and-be-seen seating options -- from outdoor tables to indoor leather benches, communal tables and cozy lounging by the fire. A "gourmet" homestyle menu includes artisanal baked goods, heaping bowls of oatmeal and granola, hot soups, pot pies, pressed sandwiches, and plenty of salads and snacks.

Consistently Good. Great Orange Juice, Excellent Breakfast spot, nice casual place to come and hang out with friends to grab a bite to eat or chill while playing backgammon, chess, scrabble etc. (They have board games here) The sandwiches for lunch looked scrumptious as well we generally go to the one in the Marina District but this one seems larger and food was fantastic, so it's nice to see the menu is consistent. Macaroni and Cheese is "out of this world" Bacon is a little greasy but good the Jam for the English Muffins was tasty and this place has THE BEST Oatmeal I have ever tasted!!!

Cozy, hip, deliciously healthy. A welcoming ambience, winter or summer. Gathering place for locals - friendly crowd. Food is original and satisfying. It's like being invited to your favorite cook's house for the afternoon.

Hooray for fillmore!. We finally have a cool hangout in the heights! Everything you like about the Grove on Chestnut but without the Marina people.
