The owner wanted to have breakast with her and hang out. She said the block felt dangerous, not a nice area of Portrero Hill. Was extrememely overpriced for what it was..you are better off renting a hotel room.
Hillside urban apartments with a view..
The Scene
This lovely Victorian was built in 1904 and offers short-term rentals in two apartment-style quarters. Located on a street as crooked at Lombard, it gives visitors an opportunity to feel like locals while in residence.
The Details
The two accommodations---the Chateau and the Maison---offer garden decks with amazing city, bay and bridge views. Fabrics are light and the rooms are airy; dignified dark wood furnishing adds a refined touch. The saltillo tiles and hardwood floors are overlaid with authentic Oriental rugs, and additional luxuries include private entrances, fireplaces and sliding glass doors that open onto fresh sea air. Guests can rent either an individual bedroom or an entire apartment. Clebia, the Brazilian innkeeper, will be happy to arrange a catered meal or offer advice on where to shop or dine out.
