The Scene
Money may not buy you a swing like Tiger Woods, but it'll get you beautifully appointed accommodations at this luxury resort. Of course, for golfers, the famously challenging Pebble Beach links are the draw. Being a guest at the hotel is just about the only way to secure a tee time: Only hotel guests can make reservations more than 24 hours in advance, and last-minute cancellations are as rare as hitting under par on the 18th hole.
The Details
The 161 rooms, suites and guest houses are spread throughout 11 buildings. Rooms have fireplaces and patios or balconies, some with bay views. Spa suites have outdoor hot tubs and private gardens. Guest facilities include a fitness center, tennis courts, heated outdoor pool, full-service spa and four restaurants. Guests get priority for reservations at Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, Del Monte and Spyglass Hill golf links (greens fees not included).
