In-n-Out. Rarely are you in and out, but this is the best expensive burger around.

Awesome...from Canada!. We used to live in California, and when we first had it...we fell in love! We love the value, the food, the service...yeah it's busy, line ups galore, but for a reason...b/c they are awesome! The workers are very quick considering the line ups! Wish you would open one up in British Columbia! Highly Recommended!

Best Cheap Chain Burger in the Bay!. In-N-Out is a chain, but it is far superior to any golden arches or smiling stars places. The food is always fresh, cooked to order, and grilled (not cooked in a greasy plastic tray). Although its just a buck and change for a burger, you can taste the freshness. Its perfect for a quick bite when you're around the wharf, and the prices are not inflated by the location. Go for the burgers: the fries and shakes are nothing special. Service is always fast and frendly, even during peak hours (which is all the time). Forget the overpriced crab and get much much more bang and tast for your buck!

This does not fit with the catagory.... Since when is a 1/4 in thick hamgurger considered "thick and juicy"?

IT'S A CHAIN. Sure, I go there too. It's a far step above Jack in the Box. My favorite locations are the freeway ones in the south bay. But it takes a long time, portions are small, the lighting is far too bright, and ... it's just another chain. Go there, but don't trumpet it.

APPLES AND ORANGES. This is a good burger and you could say the best if you compare it to fast food chains like McD's and BK, etc. The best burgers are at Bullshead in West Portal (nonfast food chain place). It helps if you order from the "secret" or special menu (then you can get well done fries and a choco-vanilla swirl shake).

The Best Fast Food In The World. California's own In-N-Out chain is honest to God the best fast food restaurant on Earth. I just wish there was more than one of them in San Francisco proper. I really like to avoid the Wharf as much as possible, but I find myself going down there at least once or twice a week for the Double-Double Combo baby!

When you get that craving,. NOTHING will do except an IN-n-OUT BURGER!! The freshness and quality cannot be beat by any of the other chains. The burgers taste as if they just came off your backyard grill!! AND you can actually watch them make the fries from real,whole potatoes!! The menu is limited for a reason.,They KNOW a good burger!!! I used to drive up to Santa Rosa till they got one in SF.,and it was always worth the drive.

In and out a joke. I cannot understand that Bay Area and especially SF consumers, think in and out is a good burger. The city has so many outstanding burgers restaurant. FAST FOOD IS FAST FOOD!! The meat pattys are over 30% fat and cook down to under 1 1/2 oz per patty. The shakes come out of a machine and are not made with real ice cream. For a city that prides it's self on knowing food they certainly do not know what quality is.
