Located one block from Golden Gate Park, and nestled in the heart of the inner Sunset district of San Francisco, Darla's serves up terrific food, including one of the best burgers in SF. Not just a burger place, Darla's cooks an array of comfort foods from chicken fried steak to fish and chips, to breakfast items such as homemade corn beef hash, crab, benedicts and fabulous omelettes. Family-owned and-operated, Darla's uses the freshest ingredients in all the food she serves. The homemade soups, dressings, and salsa are out of the world. Simple and delicious just like Mom used to make. Kids will love it too.

Editorial Review for Darla's – by Miriam Wolf

In Short
Darla's spare dining room has clean lines, but doesn't feel sterile. Soft touches like sponge-painted walls in a cheery melon shade beckon Inner Sunset neighbors--families with kids, couples, and single diners. The menu's updated diner food includes juicy burgers and crispy fried chicken. A full roster of breakfast favorites can be had all day, including fluffy pancakes and a filling breakfast burrito.

Very good place..... sausage for breakfast are patties ... tasted like they were home-made.... great french toast with bananas and strawberries... even had two kinds of syrup. The crab benedict was tastey as well. Our server was one of the nicest people to ever work in a restaurant... she was a pleasure. Lastly they give you free tasters of brownies when you are done.... everything there was done right!

OK the reason I went in was cause the sign sold me, "possibly the best burger around"! what a crock of (please add appropriate word here). The food was edible and mediocre but not great like the sign says. very misleading. the service was poor...everyone from the server to the cooks looked like they hated their job. poor ambiance. I would not recommend.
