What People Are Saying About Burger Joint

The Scene – The eye-popping color scheme of the original Burger Joint on Valencia has been toned down here. Booths are covered in slate-blue vinyl with red trim, while the white walls are decorated with black-and-white stencils of happy '50s-style characters enjoying the burger life. – – The Food – Burger Joint is true to its name: The short menu sticks to burgers and hot dogs, along with grilled chicken breast sandwiches and garden burgers. And there's no mystery meat here; instead, the burgers and all-beef hot dogs are made with Niman Ranch meat, so you won't find…

This place makes the best burger I have ever had. Order it rare only if you mean it.
When you need a burger and fries

I was very impressed with the Burger Joint. The ambiance isn't much to speak of, but the service and food was excellent! The staff was friendly and the burgers and fries were delicious. I even splurged on a strawberry milkshake and I was not disappointed. I got my meal to go and I was delighted to discover the bag included all the extra's such as, mayonnaise, ketchup, pepper, and napkins - no mustard though.
- Pros: Good food, Quick, Good value
- Cons: Ambiance
It's, um, a burger joint

BJ is one of the places that makes San Francisco a great place to eat. The burgers and fries are something special, and I can't quite tell you why. The meat's just a little fresher or something - but even better, BJ isn't full of itself. The furnishings are looking a little dated, oh so 1999, but now it's just a friendly local place for a great bite in the middle of a drinkin' evening. The place is counter service, which makes it plenty fast, but don't expect a Dining Experience.
Cool Burger joint

Well, it's better than In-N-Out burger, but it's not twice as good. It is however twice as expensive. Still pretty cheap overall, but I mean, you can get a great burger (w/ fries and a drink) at In-N-Out for about $5 wheras it would cost you about $10 at Burger Joint. The burger at Burger Joint is clearly superior though, and I do eat there from time to time. It's till a pretty good deal all things considered. Oh, yeah - and what gives with the NO REFILS? Pretty bogus in my opinion.
- Pros: great burgers, good fries
- Cons: , no refils?!?!?!
