The Scene
A host of regulars sit at the bar that features 17 taps of mostly European brew, while those craving privacy choose dark-wood tables lining the front wall and quieter back room. Rust-colored walls are decorated with vintage beer signs and hand-painted quotes from the likes of Joyce and Wilde. The crowd is a Valencia-corridor mixed bag, from tattooed Mission denizens and folks of Irish descent watching football to white-collar workers enjoying the bustling happy hour.
The Draw
The kitchen prepares traditional Irish fare, including homemade soda bread and popular Bass Ale-battered fish and chips. Some American classics, like burgers and sandwiches, are also available. The soundtrack is supplied by an Irish-American-stocked jukebox, offering classic rock, blues and Irish folk.

I love this place. The food is really good, and there's Guinness to be had. What more can I say? the decor is appropriate, lots of neat knick-knacks and tchotskies on the walls, from Ireland (and maybe a few from Scotland, England and Wales), plenty of seating (usually)... They have great fries, and finger food, and their fish and chips are really good. They also serve some of the more esoteric ethnic food, like bangers & mash and the like. All of it's good. Too bad it's in the city, where parking sucks. Though it is fairly close to the 16th & Mission BART station. PROS: Great food, drink, atmosphere CONS: No parking

I was so surprised with the crab cakes. They were full of meaty crab and so tasty! The burgers looked very impressive too.

I have never had such great food that they have. The Shepards Pie is great, something that i want to dream about at night. The Lamb Shank with the butter braised pole beans made me so happy that i did not need my boyfriend for a good week. I will miss the cuisine and wish that they will never change the chef. I will move to San Francisco just for there great food.
