Editorial Review for Big Basin Redwoods State Park – by Content provided by ReserveAmerica
In Short
Encompassing more than 18,000 acres, this treasure on the ocean side of the Santa Cruz Mountains runs from the peaks down to the Pacific Ocean. The Skyline to Sea Trail runs through coniferous and deciduous forests, lush canyon bottoms and stream-carved ravines as well as open hillside chaparral. While it's foggy in the summer, ocean winds cool off clear fall days. Campsites are available for walk-ins, tents and RV/trailers, but there are no hookups or dump station site.
