Editorial Review for San Francisco to Tiburon Bike Route – by Eric Rorer

Facts
When it comes to on-road bike rides, this one is as good as they come, especially with the refurbishment of Crissy Field. The ride along this city promenade is gorgeous; crossing the Golden Gate Bridge is blustery and dramatic; and the ferry ride home from Tiburon is a gas, especially if you grab a few beers at Sam's first.

The Experience
From the Marina Green, follow the main bike path north through Crissy Field, up onto the west side of the bridge. Cross the bridge and take Alexander Avenue into Sausalito. Alexander will take you onto Second Street. Go three blocks on Second to Bridgeway. Follow Bridgeway approximately four miles through Sausalito. At Highway 101, take the path on the right and follow it approximately three miles to East Blithedale Avenue. Go east until East Blithedale turns into Tiburon Boulevard. Five straight miles to Tiburon and you've done it.

The Extras

This ride wouldn't be the same without a celebratory beer on the deck at Sam's Anchor Cafe in Tiburon.
