Resplendent among the redwoods and oak woodlands of central Marin County, Mount Tamalpais commands 2,571-foot peak commands spectacular views of the Bay Area, from the Farallon Islands 25 miles to sea all the way to the East Bay. Campsites and cabins are available. Cabins have stoves and showers. There are restrooms for tent-campers, but no showers.
