The Scene
Once a lumber store, the spa's exterior resembles a country barn, complete with clapboard siding and weathervane. Inside, the beautifully converted space houses a well-organized storefront displaying Stellar's complete product line. In the quiet reception area, guests can sip cucumber water, munch complimentary fruit and flip through magazines after completing lengthy intake charts.
The Services
Specializing in state-of-the-art bodywork, the spa offers four massage styles in any of five high-ceilinged treatment rooms. The replenishing facial features three separate masks made of apples, pumpkin and paprika. For each full facial or massage treatment booked, the spa offers a complimentary add-on treatment each month, such as a lemongrass foot scrub. Though some standard services, such as manicures or pedicures, are not offered, the spa is a perfect day-trip destination for those traveling to or from the Wine Country and San Francisco.

I've been a regular client of Stellar Spa for facials and massage since 2002. The facility is always clean and the staff is very polite, professional and well trained. I love the special foot scrubs and hand scrubs they offer free with their services each month, the neck and shoulder massage you get during facials, and the Seawater room you can request for massage. It's the quality of services and the small extra's you don't see offered very much these days that is part of what sets Stellar apart from other spas. The spa robes you get a checkin are so soft and warm and are the best to wrap yourself up in and just escape. The spa lounge is a great place to relax and just veg out. There are so many fun services to choose from but I highly recommend trying the Signature Facial and the Signature Massage if you can. They are well worth the money and you'll be so relaxed when you leave it'll be dangerous to drive home. If you can't do those then try the Apple Peel Facial or the Hot Stone Massage. I have referred many of my friends and family there and they sent me a $50 gift card out of the blue and thanked me for my business and sending my friends there. How many businesses do that anymore! Overall, I've had nothing but great experiences at Stellar Spa and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I was asked to show up for my appointment early to do paperwork. I checked in 20 minutes early where I was given a robe and slippers. I changed and completed paperwork in the lounge. After 30 minutes (15 minutes past my appointment time) I wandered out to the front desk to find out what was going on. The Manager came out to inform me that the massage therapist didn't show up to work! I can understand how this can be beyond someone's control, but don't check me in and have me wait in the lounge without anyone coming out to tell me what happened. No one even noticed the therapist didn't show up. I had a facial scheduled after and the manager actually wanted me to stay another 45 minutes and pay for it. I decided not to stay- she offered me a free massage another time but I'm not very excited about going back. I may just give it to a friend.
