The Best Clam Chowder Ever!. I have to say since moving to the bay area I've been on a search for some good clam chowder and I finally found it here at Yankee Pier. Finally a clam chowder with clams in it! and the herb biscuit they set on top of the chowder is superb. I've been a few times, weekends and weeknights and everytime without a reservation and I have had no problem getting a seat. The service is good, the restaurant clean and comfortable and again, that clam chowder is to die for! But that's not the only thing on the menu worth trying, their fish and chips are light and crispy, their ceasar salad perfectly dressed and their pasta with clams enough for two. Don't miss the opportunity to enjoy their desserts either, the butterscotch pudding took me back to childhood and the lemon meringue pie could easily satisfy anyones sweet tooth.
Maine meets Marin at this cutesy East Coast seafood spot.. Casual and intimate, this quaint New England-style eatery is set in a small yellow house that seats about 50 people, with room for another couple dozen on the front and back porches. Dishes like New England clam chowder, fried clams, fluffy buttermilk biscuits and maple-smoked salmon top the short menu. California-influenced seafood dishes are also available, including grilled salmon, beer-battered shrimp and steamed Manila clams.
i've had better. the food here is nothing special at all. my crab louie was gross, and my boyfriend's burger was dry and flavorless. a burger is one of the easiest things in the world to make--how can a restaurant mess it up? the only thing i liked was their dessert. if you want seafood or fish and chips, there are much better options in the area like scoma's....
Aye Yuh.
lobster rolls, whole belly fried clams, buttermilk buscuits, root beer floats, steamers (clams) and strawberry shortcake
brings me right back to summer on the Cape
prices are shocking (8 clams for $17 - how badly do you want a fried clam? )
XoXo
I am addicted!!!. I am so addicted to the lobster rolls at Yankee Pier. I can't get enough of them..it's getting so bad that my friends don' t even want to go out with me because I HAVE TO GO TO YANKEE PIER! I've never even been to Maine but if they really sell these things at MacDonald's I'm considering moving!!
Best Thing next to a dinner on the Cape!. Great New England Food like lobster rolls and whole belly clams, cherrystone clams on the half shell...sitting on the enclosed front patio with a heater beaming down...YUM!!!!!
