"The Red Wine Sessions" have very little to do with the nectar of the gods--although Dalva offers their usual selection of red and whites behind the bar (and of course sangria!). The night acquired its perplexing title from DJ Toph One, who works the turntables and draws in a classy crowd weekly. Be prepared to show up early if you want a seat at the bar, because it fills up fast--a recent night was packed by 10pm with a mix of Mission hipsters and young professionals.
After Din-Din
Grab a Cuba Libre and take in the fashionably dressed crowd shouting at each other over the din of clinking glasses and eclectic downtempo beat that served as a backdrop, although once Toph broke out the heavy metal and the place went wild. (June 2000)
