The Scene – The ultramodern interior design of this former warehouse space includes tilted mirror panels above the bar and modish light fixtures, but muted lighting and comfy seating make for a cozy, urbane dining experience. A pagoda-inspired central stair, sculptural paper lanterns and touches of red add Asian accents. – – The Food – The seasonal menu gathers with abandon from the continent of Asia and indulges freely in French fusion, and the fine results are served family-style. Start with spicy prawns, dredging them through silky, garlicky soy reduction. A popular…
Editor's Tips
- The Extras:
- The restaurant is available for large groups and private parties.
- Parking:
- If you can't find a street spot, there's a parking lot directly across the street or valet service for $10.
- Where to Sit:
- The private booths are without a doubt the best seats in the house--close yourselves in with the heavy curtains and take advantage of your own dimmer switch.
Great food, great service, great atmosphere!

My girlfriend and I wanted to go somewhere nice for our anniversary, and reserved a table at Azie. Unfortunately, the only time available was 9:00 PM. So, we went ahead and showed up at about 7:45, figuring we could hang out at the bar for a while until our table was available. How happy were we when they found a spot for us in about 20 minutes!
The service was excellent; attentive but not overbearing; professional but laid back. The food was even better! The space and overall atmosphere was very cool. We will definitely be going back.
- Pros: Service, Food, Atmosphere
- Cons: A little pricey, but worth it!
cold re-heated food!
by limshady at Citysearch
after waiting patiently at our table for an hour, we were served fish and meat that was cold. it seemed slightly reheated and dry as well. our waitor was extremely rude and it was totally obvious that he was walking over to the other waitors to talk smack about us. it was my friend's bday dinner, we were promised a cake, but only handed an overpriced bill.
- Pros: good ambience
- Cons: service, food , expensive
A restaurant you have to try!

I've been going to Azie off and on for the last 4 years. I've always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. The reason I'm writing a review now - the last 3 times I've been into the restaurant I've constantly been amazed at how delicious the food is, and I didn't think it could get better!
I know they have had a few Chef changes, but I think they have found a match with Chef Conrad. This is definately one restaurant that you need to try for yourself. The Shortribs are amazing! And I could make an entire meal out of their appetizers!
Ruined my valentines' dinner

Very unprofessional "booth policy", the manager and the hostess runs it all!!! Food was ok, lots of other restaurants with better food in the Bay Area. Will never ever go back again.
A good place to focus on your date

This is a very good "first date" place to take that special someone. It has great ambiance, very romantic and the food "family style" is overall satisfying to your pallette. A can get little pricey but well worth it. The ambiance is perfect for a couple that just wants to enjoy good food and each other. If you are on a date, I would suggest to reserve seating that has the drawn curtains...
