Not sure if awesome bar or cute restaurant... but hey, with pizzas and Happy Hour specials like this, what's the point in quibbling?
Must go!. My friends and I went on a Sunday- only place open on New Years Day. The drinks are super cheap- the wine is good. Nice place to sit and drink. Everyone seems friendly and the service was good considering there was only one bartender that whole night. Music was weird but I liked it. Definately go if you're a tourist- lots of locals. Also- lots of other places around to go to.
Great place!.
I have been going to Fly for the past few years. Happy hour is a great deal, with $3 drinks and half-price pizzas. The sake drinks may taste light, but a few will give you a great buzz! The southwestern pizza is delicious, with creamy cheese that clings to the top of your mouth.
Clientele is a mixture of young and old, hippie and yuppie. Fly is a great neighborhood bar in a relaxing setting, but don't expect to find your next date there.
Meet & Greet. Sake cocktails are all the rage right now. Seems like everyone has them. Though I'm a big fan of the sake, this place is quite average. Didn't try the food. The bartenders are nice and cheery. There's a pool table in back. But be warned, there is only 1 bathroom- unisex. This is a good place to meet up with friends before heading out for the night.
Funky locals flock here for great snacks, cheap drinks and fine company..
The Scene
This north-of-the-panhandle bar bridges the gap between hippie Haight Street and yuppie Pac Heights. On the outside street corner, it's common to see 20- and 30-somethings sharing cigarettes, and this communal vibe spills into Fly's cozy interior. The bar's purple and burgundy walls are hung with artwork, including a mural by the back pool table. Ceiling fans, a lone TV and festive, star-shaped, piñata-style lamps create an eclectic vibe.
The Draw
Service is extremely friendly, whether staff are serving pizzas or pouring sangria pitchers. There's plenty of seating in the front and back, including pea-green booths and thrift-store movie seats. The front tables offer good people-watching (onto Divisadero and Fulton). When evening comes, flirtatious singles exchange boisterous banter and not-so-veiled glances.
Very Bland .. wanna be's.
The place is built cheap which is a reflection of most of its crowds. The food to put it mildly is sad.. They call it a resturant ?? I ate one of the pizza's .. shamefull !!!
Prices are cheap and it semms its their only draw, bringing in those who act rich, but are truly money hungry,, trashy looking.
Way better bars around the city...
Different fun. Haven't been to a place like this in a while. Had a great time. Great sake martinis, and apps. I would go back anytime, just need an excuse..ha!
Great Salads and Saki Cocktails!.
One of the best salads in the city. It is a small neighborhood joint, with good music, strong cocktails and Great Food (Pizzas, sandwiches, and don't forget the SALADS!) It is a hidden gem! Plus, you can play a game of pool when you are done stuffing your face!
But, get there early if you want to sit down and eat. The tables get full as the night goes on.
Great hang out place with awesome food. Dark, darling place with possibly the best quesadillas in town and a pool table.
