Bamboo for you!. I had to put an American zip code in to join this! I live in London, England. A couple of us came over in May '04, and this was a main part of our nights out! On average the nightlife in San Fran was quiet Monday - Wednesday, but when the weekend hit it was great! Bamboo hut had really friendly bar staff and cocktail selections...what more can u ask for? Well, they allowed us to put our CD on..which was nice! And the ladies are very friendly there...especially if your British!

All I can say is this is the best bar in SF!!!!. IF you want to have a ton of fun on a Friday or Saturday night this is the place you have to go. The crowed is so cool and the bartenders are great too! What's the deal with ragging on the door-guy....he's totally awesome... I'd hardly say that they are rude to the patrons waiting to get in... in fact I have found the situation to be quite the opposite! All I can say is go to this place!

A Great Time!. My friends and I had a girl's night out for a friends Bachelorette Party in May of 2003. We ended up at the Bamboo Hut and decided to try the Flaming Volcano drink. It was good and definetely got us buzzing. The decor is cool and the placed was packed. We met a lot of fun people and the bartenders were awesome. The DJ was great! If you want to have a good time check it out. If you don't like crowds and want to be able to have a nice conversation look elsewhere.

Overall: not fun. I've been just about everywhere in N. Beach, and this place lacks what makes this neighborhood special. The bartenders and doormen are generally pretty awful . Funny that these guys decided to open the cheesiest bar in SF then look down on the people that actually choose to stay there. Granted their crowd is pretty disgusting, but still it seems like contradiction.

carribbean fun. this bar is fun and laidback with great music...mostly 80s and hip-hop. Though the small bar gets quite crowded at night, it's friendly and unpretentious. I would highly recommend it to those sick of high priced bars and ritzy lounges!

The arcade next door is more fun. never mind the crowds, the rude bartenders, or the odd restroom situation, the bottomline is: there are about 15 better bars within a block. Life is too short for places like this one.

One Word... Awful!!!. If you like covercharges, overpriced drinks, and unfriendly bartenders... all in a run-down atmosphere, you'll love the Bamboo Hut.

The bamboo hut rivals most trips to the dentist, but at least at the dentist, you have a chance of seeing a decent looking girl.

You have been warned.

A cover charge for this place?. save yourself a few bucks. buy yourself a six pack, put on a def leppard CD, and invite over the four ugliest girls you know...

...or go anywhere but the bamboo hut.

fabulous atmosphere. It's great little bar with a lot of character, great music to dance to and some super cute bar tenders!

Be prepared to get close to your neighbor because this bar is not large and people will dance where ever they find space. But hey, what better excuse is there to cozy up next to that cutie you've been eyeing! Get there early and snag the room in back for your own personal party.
