A historic hostel along the dramatic California coast.. The Scene
Only 25 miles south of San Francisco, this hostel is located next to the stunning Cliffside beach towns of Half Moon Bay and Moss Beach. There is no better place to enjoy the ocean views than from the hostel's outdoor hot tub. And after a good long soak, guests can head to Half Moon Bay for horseback riding and surfing, or to explore the fascinating tide pools at the nearby marine reserve.

The Details
The thirty-six dorm-style beds and five private rooms are part of a historic lighthouse that was built in 1875. Guests can request a room with a view of the coast. Though the property looks more like a traditional B&B, breakfast is not available. There are, however, two kitchens for preparing your own meals.

Idyllic getaway in our own backyard. Nothing better to help you get a restful sleep than the sound of the waves smashing against the cliffs below. Not to mention the breathtaking views of the Pacific ocean.
