Afternoon Tea. If your looking for a true afternoon tea, dress up, put your hat on, and make a reservation at the Lobby Lounge in the Ritz-Carlton. The Blue Sapphire Tea is a must and the sandwiches and desserts are dainty and delicious . The atmosphere is perfect with the harp playing, plush pink sofas, ornate chandeliers, and columns reaching to the ceiling the lobby lounge is the perfect setting. Make a reservation, call your girlfriends, and catch up while sipping tea.

A turn-of-the-century hangout serving afternoon tea and evening cocktails to well-off clientele.. The Scene
A discreet menu at the foot of the entrance is the only indication patrons have entered the Lounge. In the early afternoon, a harpist strums classical melodies. In the evening, a pianist's jazz tunes bump up the energy. There are Victorian-inspired couches, as well as polished oak tables near the window, which provide views of the courtyard and cityscape.

The Food
In the afternoons, a traditional English tea is served to an elegant crowd. The vast selection of loose-leaf teas range from the honey-tinged Black Sapphire blend to the Eastern-inspired China Rose Petal. Underneath crystal chandeliers, it begins with a glass of champagne and finger sandwiches, including smoked salmon, prosciutto and melon, and the time-honored cucumber on wheat. Then a three-tiered platter laden with baked goods arrives, bearing piping-hot scones and sweet cakes. A selection of handmade chocolates and fresh strawberries with cream round out the midday feast.
