The Scene – Between Hyde and Leavenworth, Lombard Street snakes its way down Russian Hill. A hike to the top will avail you of unsurpassed views of the bay, Telegraph Hill and North Beach. Who would have thought that a 1920s effort…
OK, sure it's touristy, but you have to do it!

My hubby and I recently visited San Fran from Arizona. We took the cable car from the Pier area up to Lombard Street. It looked just how I expected it to, but it had more impact in person. The flowers were beautiful! From there, we walked up to Coit Tower (a hard walk!). Sure, there's lots of tourists around taking pictures, but this is a uniquely San Francisco experience and you have to do it at least once!
- Pros: Beautiful!
- Cons: Can be crowded at times
Just so you can say you did it...

Not much you can say, it is a crooked street. You feel a bit dumb navigating all the one way streets to get here, but then you notice all the other tourists doing the same thing. Put the pride down and go for it.
Lombard- Worth it.
