Gourmet edibles and fresh deli fare abound at this shop inspired by an Italian marketplace..
In Short
Shelves packed with imported pastas, olives, wine, and cheese give way to glass cases lined with antipasto, hearty entrees and tempting desserts. Made-to-order toasted panini sandwiches, daily soup specials and salads draw a steady stream of neighborhood lunch seekers, while frozen lasagna, packaged sauces and artisan breads make quick, easy dinner options. Gift baskets, party platters, catering and pre-ordered lunch boxes packed with a sandwich, side, bottled water and a cookie are also available.

Aside from the Soprasetta never mind..
While the place looks great inside I have never been able to find much of anything worth buying at the prices they charge other than the soprasetta. Even that can be challenging at times though. I ordered a half pound thin-sliced soprasetta and when the guy was 1/4 lb into it he got tired of slicing and asks me, "Do you really need a 1/2 lb?" YES I BLOODY WELL DO NEED A 1/2 LB. When he finally finished cutting it wrapped it badly and tossed to me in a huff. Get the soprasetta if you can put up with the help, but he hopefully doesn't work there.

Lunch spot with no fuss.
Everything tastes so good here. The deli sandwiches are made to your liking and are simply amazing. Wonderful selection of foods, very Italian. My eyes are definately bigger than my stomach when I go here. Grab a baguette, a hunk of cheese, proscuitto/salami, a variety of olives and some wine, then head to the park for a fabulous lunch.

OH WOW!!!!.
I was just on vacation in SF, I walked into the most wonderful deli I had ever seen! All of the selections of imported meats and the huge selection of imported cheese will blow you away! They also have a huge selection of oils and vinegars. The deli is awesome! I have the # 5 and some of the stuffed peppers with cheese and proscutto ham that was in oils. A must try!
