Fresh bread for Sandwiches
by foodielover at Citysearch
I've never tried the regular food here but stop by when I feel like having a Vietnamese sandwich and am no where near Saigon Sandwiches in Civic Center. They use local french bread from the Baker's of Paris down the street & the combination pork is quite good. It's filled w/pickled vegetables and thin slices of pork. The BBQ chicken sandwich is ok. It's great place to order some sandwiches for a picnic or trip to the park. They also have BBQ pork, pate and meatball sandwiches. Sandwiches are approximately $2.50 each.
- Pros: inexpensive, quick
- Cons: parking, hole in the wall
Best Vietnamese!

I grew up eating Vietnamese food and I must say that the food here is delicious! It's the best noodle soup that I've had. You can't find any place in the city that serves a huge bowl of noodle soup for less than $5! It's a neighborhood mom and pop shop that has been opened for years so the ambiance isn't the greatest, but it's great place to have lunch or to take your family to during the weekends. I highly recommend any of the sandwiches as well!
- Pros: Food, Value
