What People Are Saying About Dolores Park

In Short – Parking is limited around this cheery neighborhood oasis, so a romantic stroll from the 16th Street BART Station or a tandem bike rental is a popular way to get there. Sunbathers and locals looking for a break lay down blankets and picnics on the 18th Street side, away from the popular playground, which is frequented by families from the surrounding blocks. The hill at the top of the park offers its greatest asset: a sublimely peaceful view of downtown.

- Heading north down Dolores Street leads to Mission Dolores, one of the city's oldest buildings and a nominee for Best Historical Site.
Memorial Day Weekend in the Park

I think people will agree with me that this is one of the best parks in the city! With the great views, the great people, the awesome park, and all the cute dogs how could you not!?! This is definitely the spot to be in the city on a sunny weekend afternoon. Bring your favorite "happy beverage" and some friends and soak up the sun at the top of the hill. The only thing bad about this park are the ladies restrooms! I've never wished I was a guy no bad in my life! I don't want to talk about it...
- Pros: views, people, party
- Cons: ladies bathrooms
Great View!!!

On top of the hill, you can see probably one of the best views of San Francisco. All the buildings, bridges and lights are seen from up here. Plus, it's free. Just be careful not to step on any dog poo, as lots of dogs come here to play with their owners (they're all nice and friendly though, so no worries).
- Pros: Fantastic View, Free
