In Short – With its levels, fountains and climbable sculptures, the plaza has long been a favorite destination for skateboarders from all over the area. Most of them are chased out, but tourists, shoppers and Financial District suits still fill the plaza, especially during sunny lunch hours. The plaza is a regular site for festivals, art exhibits and radio station promotions. It's also a conspicuous meeting place for protest marches and foot races.
