The Scene
Greens has long offered a classic San Francisco experience, mixing spectacular bay views with a casual mix of seasoned Marin socialites, tourists and green-minded locals, all dining on an upscale vegetarian menu of pan-global delights. Come for lunch or sit down before the sun sets to soak up the full beauty of the bay-and-headlands view.
The Food
It's worth braving the old waterfront warehouse to experience the fifth dimension of flavor that Executive Chef Annie Somerville coaxes from a braised tofu cube alone. Velvety yellow-squash risotto and taste bud-tingling yellow curry practically leap from their plates with flavor, and the spicy rattlesnake bean soup is a must. Signature dishes like eggplant lasagna, linguine with hot peppers and char-grilled veggie brochettes are popular. A changing seasonal menu guarantees even more succulent successes.

Very pleasant and unusual place. Wood all over the restaurant, view on the Marina (not the tourist one, the one in West North Beach). It is a vegetarian restaurant and it is definitively a trip in the "Taste world". We were 4 and shared all the dishes (yes, the swine flue fear is gone for now) so we all got to test 4 very different styles. All the 4 dishes were good to very good and all were original in their presentation and taste. Highly recommended if you like the mix of good View, Good food, good service and original atmosphere.

Greens is a good restaurant for the vegetarian's palate. They have specially prepared vegie dishes and they taste very good. If you're not a vegetarian, this may not be the place for you.
