A low-budget movie house for low-cost films.. In Short
Located deep in the Richmond District, this theater is a pearl waiting to be discovered. Small and cozy in size, this family-run operation seems to exist solely out of a love for good, independent cinema. Films are usually booked for a lengthy run, and are mostly low-budget and offbeat. The theater is equipped with two screens, and shows four films at a time.

My own personal theater. I love the four star! It's only six blocks away from my house and it has a great selection of movies. I've been there once and it is a little on the old side, but I love that its tucked in the Richmond and was able to watch a movie completely by myself. The staff is super friendly and their is a large variety of concessions.

Great, But Know Where You're Going. This movie house is great. It has a comfortable, warm feel, located in a great part of the Richmond, close to Bok Choy.

This is definitley not a corporate place. The chairs are pretty uncomfortable, the bathrooms are a bit broken in and the lobby is a bit rough.

Still, it's a great place. The concessions are relatively moderately priced. Matinees are well priced too. This place also consistantly shows great movies well past their initial run. Check it out.
