"Each month the Friends of the Mill Valley Library sort and shelve over 5,000 books and media and add them to the extensive categories available for sale to the public on the third Saturday of each month from 9:30 am to 4:30 pm. This month's sale coincides with the Mill Valley Fall Art's Festival, and will be re-stocked for both Saturday and Sunday. The selection is amazing, the prices are low, and all monies go to the library. Last month I found 'March', 'Wind-up Bird Chronicle' and 'The Carnivore's Dilemma'. Check it out!"
Pros: The most beautiful library setting - redwoods and a creek!
Cons: It would be great to open the bookstore to members during the re-stocking.

I grew up in Tiburon and it used to be a monthly treat to drive over the Mill Valley Library. The selection was huge (at least comparatively) and the building is cool -- kind of set back in the trees. We used to love the adjacent playground, too. Parking was always trouble -- we'd have to hike in a bit from the nearby neighborhood, especially if something was happening at the school across the street.
Pros: Cool building
Cons: Tough parking
