Like eating in Italy. Really tasty Italian. Great pizza. Reasonable price. Great location across from Mill Valley's town square. Stroll the plaza then eat here. As close to being in Italy as it gets.

Great food value, excellent service. I had just moved to town and my boyfriend and I decided to dine in the beautiful downtown area of Mill Valley we'd heard so much about. Every restaurant was packed and a lot of the restaurant menus seemed a bit out of our price range at the time. We looked at the menu at Vasco and saw reasonable prices and were pleased that they could seat us right away. Based on this, I expected an average experience but I would say it was much above average. The portions are generous and very well prepared. Ive been there twice now and have had the same server who is excellent and goes out of his way to offer wine samples and to explain the menu entirely even if you're looking at lower priced entrees. I had the trout the first time and the seafood linguini ghe next. Both times I was impressed with the food and the wine reccomendations. Also the goat cheese and beet salad is a MUST. This is a family-owned restaurant that clearly understands that great food and great service need not break the bank. Don't miss Vasco!

Good Pizza, Nice atmosphere. Vasco has a cozy and fun atmosphere and delicious pizza. My only real complaint is that there were almost no vegetarian options on the menu.
