impeccable taste and service. Four years ago, Sottile Alterations worked with me to redesigned my wedding dress. I had a brief engagement so time was of the essence! I fell in love with a outrageously expensive dress which was not a possibility. Rosie helped me create the wedding dress of my dreams. She suggested where I could find the specific material that I was drawn to and combined pieces of this very expensive material to an existing dress. Plus, she added very intricate beadwork to emblish the bodice. The result was an original dress...same look but half the cost! She offers solid design guidance and has a very fast turn around. Since then, I have entrusted Sottile with all of my important and casual pieces and they always come out perfectly! I have also purchased some of her unique designs (wraps and skirts) which I often get alot of compliments on in Marin because she is extremely stylish. I am lucky to have her in my town but she is definetely worth travelling to!

Fashion Goddess. I have had the opportunity to work with Sottile on many occasions. It is the only place I ever trust with

my fine clothing. I recently had a fashion emergency- I was invited last minute to a fund raiser and had to buy a nice dress to wear-of coarse the only one that fit was waaay too long. I brought it to Sottile right from the store and they promised me they could help-the event was in two days and I still needed shoes!

When I went to pick up my dress, it was perfect and they all made me feel so beautiful! I would highly reccommend Sottlie not only for fine work, but for great service as well!

beautiful work for a incredible price!. My wedding dress was complicated to shorten -- it had a lace overlay as well as a satin undergarment. In the end, the edging had to be hand-unsewn and then hand-sewn back onto the dress. However, not only was this done beautifully, the bustle was amazing and SO easy to tie/untie, and the price for the work done was so incredibly reasonable! She also shortened my sister's bridesmaid dress and did a beautiful job there, as well. I would recommend her work without hesitation.

My wedding dress wasn't finished on time!. I went here to have my wedding dress altered. I must admit she is an extremely talented seamstress. But I had three meetings with her and each time I got more and more worried. She was so disorganized and kept making little mistakes. The garments were supposed to be picked up two days before the wedding because it was an out of town wedding and this was the day I was supposed to leave. When I went to get the dress it wasn't finished! She said she forgot! None of the garments were done. In the end I had to drive back from Marin to San Francisco to pick it up. An hour before the wedding when my mom put on her suit, we realized she hadn't altered it at all. My mom had to attend the wedding with her pants rolled up at the waist!
