Stay away from this place

Dr Vener, the previous owner of Camino Alto is a good and caring vet, however he is fading out from there. The new owner and recent graduate who took over the clinic is beyond disgrace. Dr. Taylor Truitt is very aggressive with animals and clients alike. She is not gentle with patients, has a terrible attitude, suffers a "know it all" complex which is typical of young graduates sometimes, specially if they came with money to boss everybody around. And their prices are the highest of all the other clinics around from what I have been hearing. I have also heard that they have lost quite a bit of clients since the take over, and the reasons were a) because they are too expensive b) they don't like the new doctor. I would stay away from there.
- Pros: Dr Vener
- Cons: new owner Dr Taylor Truitt
Best vet i have ever found for our cats
by albathion at Citysearch
Dr. Venner is simply put amazing with animals. Panda, our elderly cat, was a terror at the vet, usually requiring two people to hold her for a simple exam; i won't go into details, but let's just say that taking her temperature was a very dangerous undertaking.
The first time i went to Camino Alto Veterinary Hospital, Dr. Venner got out his thermometer and I wrapped my arms around Panda to help--he said, "That's ok, you can let her go." I shrugged and waited to see the carnage; Panda looked him over, he inserted the thermometer...and nothing happened. No fireworks, no yowling or scratching.
It's been that way with every pet we've ever brought in--and, need i add, we've never had anything but the best care, not only from Dr. Venner but from every kind, animal loving person on his staff (and, when Panda became very ill at age 18, he came to our house and put her to sleep while i held her in my arms).
- Pros: great vet and staff, easy parking, always there for you
- Cons: none
