I expected more. The service is amazing, the ambience sets you in a mellow mood and the drinks arrive promtly. Both appetizers we ordered were fresh, crisp and flavorful. The Main courses however, left much to be desired. Both dishers were overcooked and the meat was dry. I would reccomend a visit of drinks, appetizers, and the most amazing Butterscotch pudding you have ever drempt of.
Impeccable. I just dined there last evening and was really blown away. The service was flawless and the food spectacular. I hadn't been for some time and was really impressed with what is going on! We has spent the day in wine country and decided to stop for dinner. Unnbelievable that every bottle of wine on the list is half price for the month of June! Suprised to find antelope on the menu, and it was delicious! the new Chef Matt Christianson has it going on. Roasted beets, all natural beef, market fresh vegetables all deftly explained by our server. I say if you haven't been for some time, go,
Outstanding. On a recent visit to The Lark Creek Inn I was pleasantly suprised to find the place alive and vibrant with a Friday night crowd of diners who knew what they were in for. . .an absolute treat! From the hostess who greated us, to our delightful server and the warm good-byes, nary a beat was missed. Bradley Ogden certainly has put the right people in charge of this Marin classic. Executive Chef Jason Miller was out front cooking in the wood burning ovens and that roasted halibut with Maine lobster was superb. Prime New York steak on the bone that knocked my dining partner out. This place serves the freshest fare in the area and we will be back. Kudos to The Lark Creek Inn staff.
It's your father's restaurant.
I had heard alot about it, and expected something special. What I didn't expect was that the waiters and waitresses thought that they were special, and that the customers were there to accommodate the LKI's reputation.
If you want to eat at a place that would be the ideal place for your father to bring his mom to impress her, the LKI might do it. If you want a great meal, nice atmosphere, and little pretense, it's not hard to do a lot better
Food is terrific. The meal here will be outstanding guaranteed. But the crowd is on the old side and the decor is kind of aging as well. But you'll love what you're eating. And, come in for lunch and it's actually a bargain.
