Good food but....
I read some reviews about Rooneys' and took my husband there for our anniversary. It has a quiet, quaint, European feel and the prices were so-so on the expensive side. On the positive side, it was
way more quiet than Sevrinos and Sam's. I have a couple negative comments though. The Pear Endive salad was beyond small, there was enough for about 2 small bites I had the same salad at a SOnoma Co restaurant last week and it was enough for 6 people to share. Also, the service was professional but too stiff, I felt like I was at a military academy, "Yes, Maam, thank you" for everything was a bit much. I little more warm and friendly would have been more pleasant.
The main dish was a sufficient size though and very tasty, we had the African Chicken and the Sole in butter sauce.
I would recommend it still though.…
Best food in Tiburon!. I have been to just about every place in Tiburon. We use it as a little escape from the city. Last weekend, we ended up at Rooney's. Absolutely the best food we've had in Tiburon. As they say, it is a very well kept secret. A ++++…
Hidden treasure, Great Seafood!!!. I recently came to Tiburon on the week-end with my visiting cousin. After waiting for an hour to be seated at one of the larger more prominent restaurants, we decided to stroll down and see what else the little town had to offer. We came accross Rooney's and the food is what caught my eye. This place is incredible, fresh seafood, delicious salads and desserts. It's a small place where you can really talk and enjoy some fine wine. No pushy waiters, just a nice place to take time and savour your meal. A+++…
