Boozing in a bar is just better than staying at home. The drinks taste better, the lighting is dimmer and fellow patrons make for much better eye candy than another night with TiVo. But an evening of highballs can quickly turn into a week of low funds. That's why we've handpicked seven of our favorite San Francisco bar deals below, with options for tastes ranging from delicate to dive-y.

Every humpday is Whiskey Wednesday at Bender's, where $5 buys a can of PBR and a shot of delicious brown liquor. The standard pour is well bourbon, but in the past, Jameson has been available upon request without a markup.
Already a FiDi after-work favorite, this luxe pan-Asian joint took things up a notch by making every hour happy. From 5 to close, wine and cocktails are $5.50 and draft beer is $4.50, and there are plenty of bites under $10 ($5.25 sushi rolls, anyone?).
A mixed drink at Blondie's is kind of like a milkshake at a diner: You get your martini in one glass, plus two or so more in the shaker, all for around $13. No wonder it's a popular hookup spot.
Andalu knows value: Mondays bring $4 Fernet and $3 Trumer, Tuesdays have $5 caipirinhas, Wednesdays mean $5 margaritas and $3 Shiner Bock and Thursdays boast $5 Sailor Jerry rum. Oh, and Fridays offer $5 Hendrick's or Stoli martinis until 7. Whew.
On Tuesdays at the Ambassador, everything is $2: draft beer, wine, well drinks, sliders, fries, wings and, if you ask nicely, maybe the doorman.
