With most people working longer hours than ever, it's lame that happy hour continues to occupy such an early time slot--usually ending at 7pm. Luckily, there are plenty of SF bars and restaurants with late-night happy hours and all-night specials that are sure to please those who can't start drinking when five o'clock rolls around.

This fancy-pants wine bar in SoMa makes an effort to court a late-night industry crowd with a drink-deal that puts even dive bars' to shame. After 10pm, a Kronenbourg is $3 and a shot of Fernet is only a buck. Want to go a little more upscale? A daily-selected red and white wine are each $6 per glass.
This SoMa Thai joint, in the former Jack Falstaff space, is slinging $4 appetizers and drinks from 10:30pm to 1 am, Thursday-Saturday. The selection includes a bevy of sakes and soju cocktails.
We don't know how they manage to stay in business giving away everything this cheap, this often, but every night is happy hour (4:30pm-close) at this SoMa Mexican joint, with $2 tacos, $3 drafts, and $5 margaritas and mojitos in all kinds of flavors.
On Olympia Mondays, cans of the brew are only a dollar, all night long at this unpretentious bar at the foot of Potrero Hill. Pair a few with a burger from their counter and a warm evening on the porch, and get ready for utter bliss.
They aren't on a set schedule, but Tuesdays are often $2 Tuesdays at this leather boothed Tendernob lounge, with cocktails, beer, and small bites going for a pair of Washingtons until midnight. The deal is irregular, but if it's on, their website will have the info under "Calendar."
Happy Bucking Friday is the official name of this Mid-Market bar's Friday-night happy hour, and we have to concur. From 5pm until closing on Friday, domestic drafts are $3, cocktails $4, and sliders $2.
This industry-favorite Mission bar has reasonable prices every day, but Whiskey Wednesdays are its crown jewel. A PBR and a shot of whiskey are a mere $5, all night long. Humpday never felt so good.
This Mission spot's nouveau-Mexican cuisine ends early to make room for its late-night hour of joy. From 11pm to midnight, Sunday-Thursday, they offer $2 beers and $3 margaritas or Fernet shots.
This Mid-Market club does happy hours as regularly as the rest of us brush our teeth (but with slightly more variety). On Monday and Wednesday, it's $3 drafts and wells. Tuesday brings $3 Bud Light and $4 shots of Jameson, and Thursday, $5 Jager bombs. All of these deals run until 11pm, except for Thursday's, which goes all night.
Happy hour has been extended to the late shift at this Mission sushi joint: Sunday-Thursday 9-11pm, and Friday and Saturday 10pm-1am. On tap: $3 Kirin and small hot sakes, and $3.50 hand rolls.
Though it's arguably the city's worst-kept secret, it's still hard to beat the $2 drinks and appetizers on a "Twosday" at City Tavern from 3-10pm. Just watch out for the Marina girls stumbling in their stilettos.
Alcatraz-bound tourists swarm Butterfly by day, but when the Rock's revelers dry up, this Embarcadero restaurant transforms into a late-night cocktail lounge. On Fridays and Saturdays from 10pm to 12pm, they offer $3 beers and $5 top-shelf cocktails and wines by the glass.
