You can't go wrong at this cafe on the bay. Try fresh seafood and delicious American cuisine while overlooking the water.
Stop in for lunch or dinner after a day at Muir Beach and enjoy some English fare.
This cafe has a fun beach vibe and serves great coffee, sandwiches and even a few beers.
It's the perfect place to warm up with a hot chocolate or a bowl of soup after a stroll along the beautiful bay.
If you are looking to dip your toes in the water, this beach is the only one in SF that is considered safe to swim in.
This is a great spot to go year-round for a hike or to play on the beach, and during the winter months it is the best place to watch the elephant seals.
Just north of San Francisco, this is a beautiful, sprawling beach that is a perfect day-trip destination. Be warned, however, that this beach has had an unusually high number of shark attacks.
Baker Beach is a great spot for a BBQ, complete with picnic tables and grills. Dogs are allowed, too, but don't let kids wander too far north, where it's clothing optional.
